Our Chemical manufacturing client, in Michigan Center, Michigan, needed to consolidate plant production operations to one facility. Numerous product lines, batching equipment, and product packaging equipment were to be relocated from one plant facility to another.
Dynamic Engineering Design was responsible for creating new layouts for relocated equipment within the existing plant. Piping drawings were created to show locations for tie-ins for the installation of new utilities and raw material headers throughout the plant. Process calculations of various utilities and raw materials were performed to determine proper line sizing for piping headers. Material specifications, suitable for each piping system were provided in the design package.
Electrical design was also provided for the relocated equipment. Power plans and one-line diagrams along with details and specifications for the installation of a new 1500 kVA transformer, 2000 A distribution panel, and 1000 A and 400 A bus ducts were provided.
In addition, Dynamic Engineering Design provided project management and prepared contractor bid packages that included drawings, material specifications, installation specifications, bid form, completion time schedule, written scope of work, safety requirements, etc.
