Our Aerospace client wanted to consider the cost of leaks and insulation loss within their existing steam system. Dynamic Engineering Design was contracted to inspect every steam line and every device within the steam and condensate system. All leaks were recorded. Areas of missing or bad insulation were also recorded. Using industry standard calculations, energy loss was calculated and converted to dollars. These calculations were then compared to the repair costs of the system. A cost pay-back analysis proved that making repairs to the system did in fact prove to be the correct path forward.
