Our steel production client needed to relocate an existing annealing furnace.
Dynamic Engineering Design was responsible for equipment layout (general arrangement) and piping design for the equipment relocation. Utilities included nitrogen, hydrogen, methane and waste gas, and cooling water systems.
Plant production and safety was a concern because all piping tie-ins had to be completed during a scheduled shut-down of the annealing furnace line.
Dynamic Engineering Design also provided structural and electrical design.
Structural design involved adding 12 feet of length on to an existing 20 foot deep concrete pit. Detailed drawings were provided for the project, as well as strict code research and specifications.
The electrical design areas of the project included power relocation and controls panel installations.
